Description:

Inhale consists of 15 laminated and tempered glass panes and ceramic frit, treated with sandblast and acid etch. An intimate and ephemeral installation which sifts breath, site and story in translucent overlays. Two text layers distilled from experiential on-site recordings interplay with the etchings.

Description:

Built around the presence of an architectural element embedded in the middle of a series of windows, the artwork represents the deployment of a tree. The tree spreads out horizontally into seven sections that occupy the upper windows. Two sheets of glass enclose letter-shaped cookie cutters that are distributed randomly.

Description:

Four colourful feathers are embedded into large glass panels which are hung by stainless steel rods that represent the feathers' stalk. Motifs are then superimposed, evoking the college's different course orientations: arts, sciences, sports and communications.

Description:

The artist created an installation incorporating three elements. The words "You are here,", which figure prominently on tourist maps, are engraved in the center of the window pane. On the hall's lateral wall, a mirror reflects this inscription. Silhouettes of walking people from all over the world form a pattern that repeats itself throughout the glass wall. On the top of the tables made available to users, various historical maps of Montreal indicate the exact location of the building within environments that have evolved over time.

DayDream is a text & fragmented image suite etched into the glass sides of a Plus 15 pedestrian walkway, over 4 lanes of traffic in Calgary. One side represented the thoughts of a woman, while the other was the thoughts of a man.

"In the early morning light, office people who worked in either of the buildings the walkways was between, walked through the shadows of words from the woman cast by sunrise. At 5 PM, the people exiting work via the walkway, walked through the text of the man in low evening sunset."

Each panel is edge-lit with LED lighting, programmed to intensify the ambient light of the station above the heads of passengers every time the train arrives at the station. The concept was to have different panels programmed sequentially in such a way that different ones were illuminated, thereby rewriting the text and changing its meaning.
For example, across 6 panels it might read like this, thus altering the meaning implied:

Speech and reading are formulated in different parts of the brain. The text registers as incoming data that is read by the brain through the optic nerve and filed into categories of recognition (re- cognition). This bridging process triggers associations, whereby the reader automatically assembles the text as a memory foil, drawing from their own personal remembrance. In other words, the text is designed to associate and link common possibilities of experience to language.

Description:

This massive cycle of five stained-glass works is composed of more than 1,200 pieces of glass. The first panel depicts the river and the island's forest, along with an inhabitant of the village of Hochelaga and two French colonists; in the centre, the arms of the city; and to the right, the Monastère des Récollets. The second panel depicts, on the left, a street scene with people in typical early 19th-century dress; an inset shows tools used by artisans of the period. On the right is the Seminary, the oldest extant building in Montreal. The central panel features the most prominent figures in the work: Jacques Viger and Peter McGill, first and second mayors of Montreal. The subject of Peter McGill was imposed by the City (even though the station is named for James McGill, the founder of the university); Sollogoub decided to add Viger as well. To the left of the mayors are shown several newspapers of the period; to the right, we see banknotes and scenes of industry and commerce. The last panel is devoted to the Lachine Canal and its industry, especially the Grand Trunk Railway. In the foreground we see the various types of boats that have plied the Rapids and the Canal: canoes, sail vessels, and steamships. Behind we see a Grand Trunk train; in the background is a cityscape with factories (including that of the sponsor of the work) and the mountain.

It was sponsored by the Macdonald Tobacco company, whose president, David M. Stewart, had a special interest in Montreal history. It was the last part of the metro's initial art program (sponsored works themed on Montreal history) to be unveiled, on December 10, 1974. In the 1990s, it was lowered by a few metres to accommodate the construction of businesses above it.

Description:

The work consists of a semi-abstract stained glass on the theme of Don Quichotte. The composition includes 9 tiles, numbered 1 to 9, distributed from the lower left corner to the upper right corner and bordered by wide black strips. Photocopies on acetate are also inserted between the glass plates. The antique glass is sandblasted and held together with a copper ribbon.
