Description:

Modern U. addressed the progressive ideas that helped shape Carleton University during its formative years, 1959 to 1972. These ideas were conveyed to a contemporary audience through a path of ten large graphics that were set against the architecture and infrastructure of the institution.

Description:

Flooded paved courtyard. The artist played with the black opacity of asphalt vs the clear transparency of water, with their capacity to absorb or reflect light, with the constant immobility of the first vs the moving fluidity of the other. Through these aspects, the garden appears to blend in with the wooden area, extending it in such a way as to confound us.

Description:

The work consists of three murals that have been engraved onto zinc panels and installed in different locations. The first mural is in the Event Room and features geometric motifs as well as writings. The patina is rust coloured, yellow and black. In the Léonard Gagnon Room, juxtaposed lines are installed at an angle on the entire surface of the wall. Small round motifs are also featured and the patina is blue and black. The last mural is installed on the inside walls of the elevator and features various motifs of gestures. The patina is green, blue and black.
