Description:

The pierced column in which the art work is installed represents a view of the Lavaltrie river bank with a view of the "treasure" island. Both receptacle and circumscribed sight, the island features characters from fairy tales and legends. A console attached to the sides holds a painted statuette. At the bottom of the column, a cut out wooden baseboard outlines the shore of the Lavaltrie river. A sculpted open book is attached to the baseboard, imitating an old treasure map.
