History:

PANIQUE AU FAUBOURG is part of the reflection about industrial land sites being transformed into new cultural areas. Because they are short lived, the artists’ interventions tried to inspire the public to "appropriate" history and the site of the Faubourg des Récollets or Old Griffintown. The proposed idea for the artists was to question and interpret these sites and their history, architecture and problematic urban location through their artwork. Young up-and-coming stars or  established renown artists, the artists who were selected for this project were approached for their sensibility and their ability to adapt their work to this type of artistic action. They were from Montreal, the rest of Canada or France.
