Jim Collins is Professor in the Department of Film, Television and Theatre (FTT) at the University of Notre Dame. His most recent book is Bring on the Books for Everybody: How Literary Culture Became Popular Culture. Durham: Duke University Press, 2010. College of Arts and Letters at the University of Notre Dame has named Jim Collins the 2010 Sheedy Excellence in Teaching Award winner.
