Le Laboratoire NT2 de l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) est fier d'annoncer sa participation au HyperPavilion, pavillon thématique faisant partie de la programmation de la 57e édition de la Biennale d’art contemporain de Venise. L’HyperPavilion consistera en une exposition à grand déploiement dédiée au travail d’artistes s’intéressant à la manière dont les technologies ont transformé l’humanité. Commissarié par Philippe Riss-Schmidt et parrainé par Sungbok Myron Jung, CEO de Fabulous, cette exposition ouvrira ses portes, à l’Arsenal Nord de Venise, le 11 mai 2017, à 12 h.
Uchronia | What if?
Pour l’occasion, les membres du NT2, le laboratoire de recherche sur les oeuvres hypermédiatiques, ont réuni cinq artistes de réputation internationale pour un commissariat en ligne intitulé Uchronia | What if? Cette plateforme web sera accessible à l’Arsenal Nord, en plus de l’être sur Internet dès le 9 mai 2017. Sous le thème de l’uchronie (réécriture fictive de l’Histoire) et des futurs alternatifs, l’exposition Uchronia | What if? met de l’avant le travail de :

Lancement à Montréal
Un lancement montréalais aura lieu le 24 mai 2017, à 18 h, au local D-R200 de l’Université du Québec à Montréal (Pavillon Athanase-David, 1430 rue Saint-Denis, Montréal, H2X 3J8). Le Laboratoire NT2 y soulignera la participation des artistes et le travail de l’équipe médiatique.

À propos du Laboratoire NT2
Fondé en 2004, le Laboratoire NT2 est un collectif de chercheurs de l’Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada) travaillant à la mise en valeur des créations artistiques et littéraires numériques, l’analyse critique de la culture numérique et l’archivage de textes et d’oeuvres hypermédiatiques. L’un de ses objectifs est le développement de stratégies de recherche en humanités numériques. Le Laboratoire NT2 maintient une approche en « accès libre » pour ses commissariats en ligne.

Uchronia | What if?
The members of NT2, the research laboratory on hypermedia art and literature, have gathered five artists of international reputation for an online exhibition entitled Uchronia | What if? This online exhibition will be shown at the Arsenale North, as well as online starting May 9th. Under the theme of uchronia and speculative futures, Uchronia | What if? puts forward the artworks of:

Montreal launch event
A launch event will take place in Montreal on May 24th at 6 pm, room D-R200 at the Université du Québec à Montréal (Athanase-David Pavilion, 1430 Saint-Denis Street, Montreal, H2X 3J8). The artists’ participation and the media design team work will be highlighted at this occasion.

About the NT2 Laboratory
Founded in 2004, Lab NT2 is a research collective based at the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada) working to promote digital art and literature, to critically analyze digital culture, and to archive hypermedia artworks. Its main focus is the development of novel strategies for research in Digital Humanities. Lab NT2 maintains a ‘free access’ approach in curating its online exhibitions.
