She was born in June 1996, and continues to be a mystery to this day. But she shows clear signs that she is on her way to becoming independent, bright, engaged, and obstinate. When my daughter gave birth to her own daughter, we all became part of four living generations of a matriarchal line. My mother is still young at 70, but now a great-grandmother. It's a very strong line, and there is much writing to be done.
