Each painted figure/number was installed on one of five operative dock doors.
The installation consists of a number and text painted on the doors to the dock #22 warehouse.

Comment on the U.S. military force in relation to its neighbors (Canada and France). Represents the naval colours of France in volumetric comparison with those of the United States and Canada.
Number Painting is a variation on Figure Paintings, an artwork presented at the 49th Parallel Gallery in New York in 1985.
