Conceived in 1979, Parc de la langue française remains a work in progress, although various versions have been presented in Quebec, Germany and France. The project aims to create a permanent public park where the words of the French language and their definitions would be printed on small plates and planted in the ground, creating a harmonious landscape with the surrounding nature. The Park would be divided into Word Districts, from A to Z. The park would be a physical dictionary inviting passersby to read the words, the act of reading itself a journey into language.

Parts of the work have been exhibited:
1984: Célébration de Québec 1984. For the first time, the artist presented an excerpt of his Parc de la langue française outdoors. This version featured a selection of words related to the theme of water and wind.
