Description: 

The work is divided into two parts:

This poetic fable is inspired by one of the greatest myths in the history of the world. The installation was set in a small green square with a tall tree, downtown Granby.

In the windows of the shop surrounding the square, videos about the local zoo's animals in their daily routines were projected.

IL ÉTAIT UNE FOIS UN ARBRE

Text theme: 
Written on the sidewalk, the sentence attracts attention towards the big tree that will disappear to make way for a commercial building, much to the chagrin of residents who love "their" tree.
Artwork theme: 

The cage motif serves as a pretext to inspire a reflection on our own states of captivity, the limits of our vision of the world and our way of looking at reality.

Note(s): 

Le débarquement de Noé was produced as part of a residency at 3e Impérial, a contemporary art center, as well as daily visits to the Zoo de Granby.
