Artwork identification
The work is divided into four wall sections featuring text - articles from the Charter of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The text is displayed in such a way as to form the contours of human body parts - ear, head, hand, eye. The letters are painted white on a white wall. Three life-size human silhouettes appear in distinct colours on the surface of the hologram. The shape of the silhouettes is outlined with letters.
Charter of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
The artist was inspired by a 17th century Italian text, The City of Sun Tommaso Campanella. This text mentions an imaginary city where the walls are covered with works illustrating various aspects of knowledge.
