Artwork identification
The artwork is located in the atrium of the Bronfman Pavilion (G Pavilion).
Sculptural installation composed of a text box and various three-dimensional objects, either reproduced in silkscreen or carved. In a frame, a document entitled "A false true story" explains the different stages of the discovery of a fictitious statue during construction work on the pavilion. To the left of the text, protruding shapes reproduce recovered fragments in miniature form. Nearby, silkscreen reproductions are affixed to wooden structures, representing a statue lying on its side, severed into three parts. At each extremity, books produced using the same process are set standing up.
