Sphere of Social Consensus and Influence
Between 3rd and 4th Avenues
Kinetic sculpture. The object, a 65" steel sphere, is banded by plates of stainless steel. The steel bands are engraved with the names of the original 16 member organizations of the AAC. Over time and with ongoing exposure to the elements, the sculpture will darken in color.

"The sphere's assertive presence reiterates the determination of the numerous creative organizations that banded together to promote the value of the arts in society. This banding formed a 'sphere of influence' that motivated creative human beings to advance qualitative transformations to life in our community." Carl Granzow
