Markings on the ground to commemorate the forgotten history of the site of United Canada’s first parliament

The text is composed of newspaper clippings of the era and archaeological reports that recall the state of the location and events that marked the site, from the very first lay of the land to the riot and subsequent fire that destroyed the parliament in 1849.

History: 
With this action, set up at the invitation of the Centre d’histoire de Montréal, the artist used markings on the ground to commemorate the forgotten history of the site of United Canada’s first parliament, on Place d’Youville in Montreal (now a parking lot).
