Text of the artwork:

walking down to the pond

all the memories

came crashing back

first goal

the mountains, the sky and ice would turn red

my dad...well...he’d build boards

out of old sheets of plywood

then at night

he’d flood the backyard

we’d wake up to our own rink

where the mountains meet the plains

we’d

drive to the rink

in the dark

she’d always

make me

hot chocolate

long free days with a stick and skates

pond hockey

new skates
