The work was originally installed at the mouth of the river.
Description:
The work consists of white painted wooden boards, linked end to end by two yellow polypropylene ropes and kept at the bottom of the river with boat anchors. The sculpture initially looked like a giant arrow and remained in position for 12 days. The two series of boards were then launched into the River, still attached to each other, where they took on other configurations depending on the flow of the currents. Using aerial photography, the artist kept three of these "drawings". Some of these photographs were distributed to people from the region, who were then invited to complete the "drawings" and supply a text about cultural issues of the region. The document was then given to the Archives of the Musée de Baie-Saint-Paul. During the symposium, the artist also launched 4 small sail boats into the River.
History:
The artist was invited to take part in the Symposium de Baie-Saint-Paul in 1986.

The photographs belong to the Musée de Baie-Saint-Paul. They were exhibited, among others, at the Musée du Québec à Rimouski and at Galerie UQAM.
