Marco Cadioli is an artist who points his lens at the images that materialize on computer screens, blurring the boundaries between real and virtual. With his online journeys he explores from an aesthetic point of view the new frontiers of digital media and virtual worlds. He entered the multiuser war game as an “embedded” photographer, like a modern day Rober Capa, and with his avatar Marco Manray he published photos from Second Life on international magazines. With recent work presents a research on the representation of the real world and the world of data within Google Earth, playing with the forms of representation to completely change maps and functions of globe. He exhibited at Neoludica. Art is a game 2011-1966 (54a Biennale di Venezia 2011), BYOB (Padiglione Internet, Venezia 2011), AFK (Casino Luxembourg – 2011), Fotografia Festival (Roma, Macro Testaccio 2010), Odyssey art+performance sim in Second Life (2009), Reality Festival (Paris 2008), PEAM Pescara Electronic Artists Meeting (2006).
