"Drew Blanc is an animator and original creator of the Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun Show, but in reality the many cute talking rabbits that star in the show sicken him. His self-revered creation, Flux Wildly, a wise-talking and sarcastic purple animal, has been denied the chance of starring in his own show. Drew's boss, Sam Schmaitz (played by Ben Stein), sets him the task of coming up with an idea of a new character to star in the Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun Show by the next morning. The depressed animator nods off before coming up with this new character, suffering from an acute lack of inspiration. Waking up early in the morning by his television coming on, Drew is "sucked" into the television as it displays the Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun Show, the cartoon world he created becoming his reality." Devo Presents: Adventures of the Smart Patrol

Année/date de parution:
1996
Editeur:
Inscape
"Adventures of the smart patrol is a game basically inspired by the late seventies/early eighties alternative band Devo, and which takes us to a world based on every little thing that is Devo. You control a Monkees-style group of musicians called the Smart Patrol who take it upon themselves to stop the mad schemes of the evil mutant "Turkey Monkey" who wants to unleash a virus all over Spudland. Gameplay consists of a myst-like game of "slideshows" but without puzzles to solve, most of the game progresses through dialogue and interaction, so your mission really consists of talking to the right person at the right times." A motorcycle racing game. The concept behind this game is that all the tracks in the game are actual videotaped and digitized roads with 2d sprites serving as your biker and opponents as well as oncoming traffic and other obstacles. Gameplay modes include single race and a tournament of sorts, where you can customize your bike by changing it's tires, engine, etc. Also present are a lot of fmv scenes that play upon specific actions (like crashing). Your mind wanders as the dashboard display blurs out of focus. You're thinking of the weekend, about stopping off later to get something to eat. You don't really notice the bank of mist that envelops the car as you speed up a hill. Suddenly, you jolt back into consciousness as a car looms up ahead of you out of the mist. It's sideways on, completely blocking the road as you stab desperately for the brakes..." (MobyGames)
