Une carte géographique est divisée en quinze segments distincts, chacun d'eux, lorsque sélectionné, offre une vue à 360 degrés d'un paysage urbain. À mi-chemin, un personnage suspendu la tête en bas raconte, si activé, une anecdote ou une théorie liée au lieu.

Cette installation, qui se divise en deux sections, permet tout d'abord au spectateur d'entrer en « dialogue » avec des personnages virtuels au moyen de six chaises reliées à un ordinateur à l'aide d'une interface électronique. L'interaction avec l'interface des chaises permet donc d'en apprendre plus sur l'histoire des 6 personnages virtuels (3 hommes et 3 femmes) qui présentent leur point de vue sur la vie industrielle dans la région de Ruhr au début du 20e siècle.
