Exploration virtuellle de l'Ambassador Hotel, lieu mythique des 20s où défilèrent nombre de stars et de politiciens. Certaines pièces, choisies par le joueur, débouchent sur une séquence vidéo, films d'archive témoignant du passage de personnalités connues. Certaines de ces pièces recèlent également des "easter eggs", l'exploration a donc la part belle. À noter qu'une pièce différente ouvre chaque nouvelle session.

Un menu prenant la forme d'une table des matières d'un roman jamais écrit présente différentes avenues explorant, à différentes époques (20s-80s), Los Angeles et gravitant en bonne partie autour de l'histoire, vraie, de Molly, une femme ayant menée une vie on ne peut plus banale, si ce n'est qu'on la soupçonne d'avoir tué l'un de ses maris... Ces segments sont racontés par l'historien Norman M. Klein.
