Inspiré du kinophotographe d'Edison, "A Room..." force le spectateur à être voyeur d'une femme enjoignant pourtant d'emblée le premier de ne pas la regarder. Une chambre miniature réelle s'offre au regard du joueur et la focalisation de ce dernier détermine l'ordre des séquences présentées. Un miroir-écran renvoie simultanément au spectateur son propre regard s'observant lui-même observant la (les) scène(s).

Chaque partie du corps de Marion, la guide, conduisent à différents univers (mots, audiovisualisations) dès que le joueur les touche via l'écran. Ce dernier peut choisir d'être périodiquement guidé par d'autres personnages.

Le joueur doit faire des choix pour Lorna, une femme indécise et surtout agoraphobe. Tous les objets contenus dans son petit appartement ont un numéro donnant accès à des informations sous forme de sons et d'images (17 min.). 36 chapitres indéfiniment séquençables ; 3 fins.

En touchant une personne via l'écran tactile, le joueur la renvoie à son point d'origine ("birthplace"), c'est-à-dire là où elle a d'abord été filmée, et la voit répéter son mouvement en entier, idem pour les autres personnes occupant le square.
