«A foot steps on a figure trampling it - it reacts, it moves, and lets out a shout. Various feet cross a space, trampling many figures that break up, raise their voices. Gradually a "choir" is brought to life through the movements of the bodies. In the centre of the space there is a partially unrolled piece of felt, a kind of large carpet - the projected images form a weave that seems to replace the symbols and images found in a traditional carpet decoration.

«This video evironment, based on the “battle of San Romano” by Paolo Uccello starts out as a set of pieces that have yet to be put together. It is the eye of the beholder that is free to decide the course the images will take. The two corridors, lined with a series of video-projections lead to a central area, where a truly spectacular setting has been installed. The scene is completed by the projection of a new overview of the battle.

«Viewers enter a dimly lit room containing a series of steps that face a video projection of a window. A collection of chairs is arranged around the stairs, illuminated with spotlights. When a person walks up the steps and towards the projection, the image of the window becomes larger and it eventually opens. The sounds of the person’s footsteps on the stairs are heard through a sound system, and they become increasingly louder as the person approaches the window.
